Workshops and incursions

In celebration of 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages, Gina and Guy are thrilled to introduce a new suite of Noongar language songs workshops and incursions.

In addition to the enormously popular Wanjoo workshop, Gina and Guy are now offering new workshops to teach other

songs from their catalogue.

Schools can choose to learn either Iggy’s Lullaby (written for Gina’s son), Bindi Bindi (The Butterfly), Ninnyok (Little Girl),

or for younger students, they also offer to teach a Noongar version of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (Djinda Djinda). High

school workshops are structured as a mini concert, with Gina sharing her inspirational story through song.

Adult workshops include songwriting, as well as a four week singing "Masterclass," where Gina and Guy will teach participants songs from their catalogue covering the four principles of Koort (heart), Moort (family/community), Boodja (land) and Koorlangka (children/legacy).

All workshops focus on the importance of keeping Noongar language and culture alive as well as learning original Noongar

language songs. As always, the songs and workshops are grounded in the four principles.

The workshops delivered by Gina and Guy are incredibly engaging and can accommodate groups of any size. They are targetted towards students of all backgrounds (you don’t have to be Noongar) and can be delivered any time throughout the year (not just NAIDOC or Reconciiation Weeks).

The duo supplies their own PA and all members of their team have current working with children checks and public

liability insurance.
